The (Hunting Thoughts) Program and the Last Ten Days
The ACADEMION International Training Institute presented the (Thought CaptureOn Sunday, corresponding to the 20th of Ramadan in the year 1442 AH, at exactly ten o'clock in the evening, the guest of the program was Dr. Alaa Mahmoud Naseef, a visiting assistant professor at Dar Al-Hekma University, and a life coach and practitioner in understanding psychologies and the three keys to understanding psychologies, through a live broadcast on Zoom (ZOOMand on YouTube with the ACADEMION International Training Institute.
In her talk on the Scent of Thoughts program, the doctor discussed the verses of fasting and called for contemplating their meanings and feeling their rulings, for Allah, the Exalted, concluded the verses of fasting in Surah Al-Baqarah with His saying: (That you may attain piety)، (And that you fast is better for you)، (That you may be grateful)، (And let them believe in Me that they may be guided) so all those verses refer to humans; Allah, the Almighty, is free from the worship of people, but He clarifies the virtue of worship and what returns to humans from much good by obeying Allah, the Exalted.
The doctor mentioned that in the various interpretations of the previous verses, there is clarification of the meaning of piety: which is the fear of the Majestic, contentment with little, readiness for departure, and the purposes of fasting symbolized by the verses include being a mirror for the mind, a training for the soul, and abstaining from base habits. She also emphasized that a person should seek the Night of Decree in the last ten days of Ramadan to achieve success and gain, and the Night of Decree is in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan as He, the Exalted, said: (Indeed, We sent it down on the Night of Decree* And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?* The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months).
The doctor clarified that the Night of Decree has great meanings that lie in: the distribution of destinies, elevation, and high status; due to its high status, the Holy Quran was revealed in it, and the angels crowd in it. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "May the nose of a person be rubbed in dust who reaches Ramadan and is not forgiven" This is evidence of the necessity of exploiting this month for forgiveness and emancipation from the Fire. She also indicated the necessity of rectifying intentions; if intentions are rectified, the work will be straightened. Renewing and rectifying the intention leads to greater reward and recompense. She pointed out the times of supplication, where the fasting person has at the time of breaking the fast, in the last third of the night, in the two prostrations, and after the obligatory prayers. She emphasized that the month of Ramadan is a month of self-discipline and a mirror for the human soul, so it is preferable for a person to recall his shortcomings to avoid them and to get used to good deeds so that they become a habit and an act of worship.
