Healthy Lifestyle Course

The International Academy Institute for Training, in partnership with the Social Development Center in Medina, presented a course titled "Healthy Lifestyle" This will take place on Thursday, the 17th of Ramadan in the year 1442 AH at 11 PM, and the course was given by Professor and Doctor: Suha Hashem Abdel Jawad, a nutrition professor and consultant from the Health Specialties Authority and a certified trainer, and the course was presented by media personality: Hattaf Tarabishi via Zoom (zoom) and live broadcast on YouTube by the ACADEMION International Training Institute.

At the beginning of the course, Dr. Abdel Jawad emphasized that to achieve quality of life, it is essential to include regular exercise, healthy food, avoiding stress, drinking water, and a healthy lifestyle is the life a person lives based on daily habits that help in feeling active and healthy, reducing stress and tension, and lowering the risk of diseases.

The doctor addressed the criteria for a healthy lifestyle such as healthy food, reducing stress, practicing a healthy life through ideal sleep, hygiene, reconciling with oneself, and exercising. She also mentioned the concept of nutrition, malnutrition, and nutritional imbalance, and reliance on spoiled foods. Then she clarified the nutrients needed by the human body in its structural formation, which lies in carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and water and fluids.

Dr. Abdel Jawad pointed out the sections of food elements according to their functions in the body, then explained the basic rules of nutrition, which lie in consuming balanced meals, eating plant fibers, reducing sugar and salt, properly preserving and cooking food, paying attention to obtaining information from its sources, and following the food pyramid that relies on variety in meals. The doctor also mentioned the importance of drinking water because water is involved in all chemical reactions in the body, regulates body temperature, and is part of all cells and tissues, carrying oxygen to all body cells.

Dr. Abdel Jawad also clarified the importance of reducing stress, adhering to sleep schedules, and obtaining the ideal number of sleep hours. She emphasized the importance of exercise and its role in health, which is essential for patients before the healthy, and its importance for various body systems, in addition to the benefits of walking.

At the end of the course, Dr. Abdel Jawad provided useful tips to help live a healthy life away from excessive consumption of unhelpful foods and unhealthy eating patterns. She also emphasized exercise as it is necessary to maintain health and the physical and mental balance of a person, as well as the importance of contentment and satisfaction, staying away from stress and psychological fatigue, and emotional reactions, coexisting with life's situations, and making positivity a lifestyle to achieve happiness. She thanked the attendees, which numbered (51) people, and expressed gratitude to ACADEMION International Institute for Training, then answered various questions from the attendees.

 

At the end of the course, the electronic newspaper Oyun Al-Madina met with Dr. Suha Abdel Jawad, who added by saying: The course was one of the most beautiful Ramadan courses on the night of the eighteenth under the auspices of ACADEMION International Institute for Training, and it was my first experience with the institute regarding the healthy pattern and its practice and application in our lives, as the course was characterized by enjoyable attendance and enriching interaction, which increased the activity during and after the course, which included the most important details of the healthy pattern and behavior followed in food, nutrition, sleep, avoiding stress and tension, drinking fluids, and exercising.
