The (Thought Catcher) Program and the Virtue of Smiling and Cooperation
The ACADEMION International Training Institute presented the (Thought CaptureOn Sunday, the 6th of Ramadan in the year 1442 AH at exactly 10 PM, the guest of the program was Mr. Abdulghani Al-Qash, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oyun Al-Madina Electronic Newspaper, Media Consultant and Journalist, Member of the Saudi Association of Opinion Writers, and Supervisor of the Mobile of the Medina Region, through a live broadcast on YouTube with the ACADEMION International Training Institute.
Mr. Al-Qash began his talk by expressing his wish for certain values to be prevalent in our Islamic communities in general and for everyone to embody them always and forever, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan to increase good deeds and multiply rewards in the balance. He mentioned among these the virtue of smiling, as a smile brings joy to the soul and its possessor usually enjoys a calm spirit, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "And if you meet your brother with a cheerful face", and he also said: "Your smile in the face of your brother is charity".
Mr. Al-Qash also mentioned that smiling is an innate behavior that a person gets accustomed to and practices practically, thus it becomes a habit. A smile has the power to mend hearts and brings joy to a person, and mending hearts is a great virtue that the Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged, as our noble Islamic religion has emphasized in many instances. In reading the biography of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we find that he used to comfort his companions and mend their hearts. Educators agree that mending hearts holds great educational significance, especially for students who may have some issues or obstacles such as stuttering or hesitation or psychological matters, and here comes the role of the educator to encourage and motivate them, thus mending their hearts without them realizing it.
Al-Qash added: In addition to smiling, I also hope that the virtue of cooperation spreads among Muslims, as in the past neighbors used to cooperate with each other, and they would exchange dishes to strengthen the bonds of affection and love and enhance the value of neighborliness among them. I also hope that we pay attention to the Quran in this blessed month by cooperating with Quran memorization centers and circles, caring for them, and supporting them in all forms of material, moral, and intellectual support, for we are in the month of the Quran, and what a humanitarian and spiritual gesture it is to pay attention to the people of the Quran in the month of the Quran so that their resolve strengthens, their ideas flourish, and their material support increases the number of circles and the number of students in them.
Al-Qash pointed out the importance of maintaining friendly visits among friends, colleagues, and relatives, or even inquiring through electronic devices "mobile phones" as these devices have brought distant people closer, and it is possible to see each other. As Al-Shafi'i said: People are with people as long as there is loyalty among them, and Allah, the Exalted, says: (Indeed, the believers are brothers) It is the right of brotherhood in Islam to communicate and revive the value of loyalty that our noble Islamic religion and our pure Sharia have encouraged.
