The program (Sighting the Heart) and the greatness of supplication
The ACADEMION International Training Institute presented the (Thought CaptureOn Wednesday, the second of Ramadan in the year 1442 AH at exactly ten o'clock in the evening, the guest of the program was Dr. Ahmed Hussein Luban, the supervisor of the Waqf Dar Al-Furqan for Quran memorization in Medina, broadcast live on YouTube by the ACADEMION International Training Institute.
Dr. Ahmed Hussein Luban spoke about prayer, its importance, and its greatness in the life of a Muslim. Every person has many needs that they ask from Allah Almighty, and Allah is generous with His gifts, as He says: (Is He not the One who answers the distressed when he calls upon Him and removes the evil? There is a strong link between fasting and prayer, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that the supplication of the fasting person is accepted. So what does prayer mean then?
Prayer is a great thing; its greatness does not lie only in raising one's hands and saying: "O Allah," nor is it just in feeling the words of the prayer, but it is greater and larger than that. In one's supplication, one must be certain of the answer from Allah Almighty. If the answer is not given in its time, then Allah Almighty may delay the response to after death, or He may divert an evil that He has decreed for him.
Sheikh Dr. Luban clarified the way of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in supplication in the hadith: "Whoever has a need to Allah Almighty or to any of the children of Adam should perform ablution well, then pray two rak'ahs, then praise Allah Almighty, and send blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), then say: There is no deity but Allah, the Forbearing, the Generous. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Great Throne. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. I ask You for the causes of Your mercy, the firm resolutions of Your forgiveness, the spoils of every good, and safety from every sin. Do not leave me with a sin except that You have forgiven it, nor a worry except that You have relieved it, nor a need that pleases You except that You have fulfilled it, O Most Merciful of the merciful."
He also referred to the Muhammadan methodology related to love for the sake of Allah and that this methodology should be taught to children and families. He added by saying: I love you for the sake of Allah and I present you with this supplication: "O Allah, I ask You for a soul that is content with Your decree, believes in Your meeting, and is satisfied with Your gifts, O All-Hearing of supplication."
