The second day of the conference (Communication in the Smart Age) confirms the role of digital media in development and decision-making

The second day of the second international conference 'Communication in the Smart Age: Digital Transformations and Future Visions', organized by ACADEMION International University, took place on Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and 21, 2025, via the Zoom platform, featuring the third and fourth scientific sessions that discussed contemporary media and research issues with the participation of a select group of Arab professors and researchers.

The third scientific session was chaired by Professor Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Barghouth, Dean of the Higher Institute for Islamic Thought and Civilization, with the report prepared by Professor Asmaa Alaa, covering multiple topics, most notably media as a tool for managing institutional change through a paper by Professor Dr. Turki bin Obaid, Chairman of the African Diplomatic Authority, alongside a paper by Professor Dr. Zaher Al-Qurashi, Professor of Marketing at Philadelphia University, on the integration of digital media and electronic marketing in enhancing consumer decisions. Additionally, Dr. Jalal Zanati, a faculty member at Alexandria University and Director of Training at Al-Zarqa Group for Training and Consulting in Riyadh, presented a study on the future of security media in combating rumors and building community trust, while Dr. Samir Ibrahim Al-Azawi, Assistant Professor of Media and Advisor at the Prime Minister's Office in Qatar, discussed the role of smart media in the blockchain era for building a decentralized and secure media system. The session concluded that digital media has transformed into a strategic tool in decision-making and ensuring community security.

The fourth scientific session, chaired by Professor Dr. Hisham Mohamed Ali Saleh, Head of the Business Administration Department at the College of Economics and Financial Sciences at the United Nations University in Delaware, USA, focused on qualitative scientific research that combines media, education, and development. Dr. Khalid Al-Sayed Al-Sheikh reviewed smart education experiences and the potential for transferring them to the Arab world, while Dr. Mishal Yaseen Al-Mahlawi discussed the role of institutional leadership in developing media performance. Dr. Nabila Qashti addressed the role of environmental media in achieving sustainable development goals, and Dr. Ameera Abdel Moneim presented a paper on artificial intelligence and education quality, while Dr. Samah Hamouda focused on digital nationalism among youth.

The outcomes of both sessions confirmed that smart media has become a fundamental pillar for community development, calling for the enhancement of applied studies and academic cooperation to support sustainable development goals and keep pace with the transformations of the digital age.
