Preparations for an international conference on (Values of Citizenship and Coexistence in Islam)
APEXSCI International University announced the commencement of its preparations to organize its international scientific conference titled: "Values of Citizenship and Coexistence in Islam: Towards Building Harmonious and Tolerant Societies," in partnership with several institutes and organizations interested in dialogue issues and values of coexistence, scheduled to be held on December 27-28, 2025, with the participation of a select group of researchers and academics from various countries around the world.
The conference is organized under the supervision of the College of Islamic Sciences, as part of the university's vision aimed at enhancing intellectual and social awareness of the values of citizenship and peaceful coexistence, in light of authentic Islamic concepts.
The university held its first preparatory meeting chaired by Professor Dr. Hayat Niyaz, the university president, with the presence of: Professor Dr. Hisham Al-Arabi, head of the preparatory committee, Dr. Mishal Al-Mahlawi, head of the supreme supervisory committee, Dr. Jihan Sabak Ali, head of the media committee, and Dr. Maryam Ihab, dean of graduate studies, where the general frameworks of the conference and implementation plans were reviewed.
The conference aims to highlight the authentic Islamic concepts of citizenship and coexistence, analyze the contemporary intellectual and social challenges facing these values, discuss the role of religious and educational institutions in promoting citizenship and coexistence, present successful international experiences in building cohesive societies with multiple identities, and discuss the role of digital technology in enhancing the values of citizenship and coexistence.
It is planned to publish the participating research in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, enhancing the academic and intellectual impact of the conference.
