Publication ethics in the ACADEMION International University Journal of Research and Studies (AUJRS)

The journal is guided in its policies and ethical standards by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guideline Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelinewhich represents the primary reference for ensuring integrity and transparency at all stages of scientific publishing. The journal emphasizes the commitment of authors, editors, and reviewers to these standards as follows:

First: Responsibilities of Authors:

1- Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their research and the data or results it contains.

2- Full adherence to the journal's publication guidelines available on its website is required.

3- The submitted research must be original and not published or submitted simultaneously to any other journal.

4- Authors must positively engage with the feedback from editors and reviewers and make the required amendments.

5- Any potential conflict of interest that may affect the research results or their interpretation should be disclosed.

Second: Responsibilities of Editors:

1- Editors conduct a specialized and neutral preliminary assessment of the originality and quality of the research before referring it for review.

2- Editors follow up on the review process and ensure that reviewers adhere to the timelines and scientific standards.

3- All research is kept completely confidential, including cases that raise doubts or violations.

4- In case of a conflict of interest for one of the editors, the research is referred to another editor.

5- Editors are responsible for carefully selecting reviewers to ensure the integrity of the review process.

6- Any objections or comments from authors regarding review reports should be handled seriously and transparently.

Third: Responsibilities of Reviewers:

1- Maintain the confidentiality of the research and not share it with any party.

2- Adhere to the specified timeframe for review or promptly excuse themselves if unable to comply.

3- Decline to review if there is a potential conflict of interest.

4- Provide objective and scientifically justified reports, free from bias.

5- Inform the editorial board of any similarity or improper citation between the research and previously published works.

6- Alert the editor immediately upon discovering any unethical practices such as data manipulation or plagiarism.

Fourth: Unethical Practices:

Ethical violations include: data fabrication, plagiarism, submitting the research for publication to multiple entities simultaneously, deliberately concealing relevant references, omitting the names of key contributors, or republishing the same work without citing its original source.

Fifth: Dealing with Unethical Practices:

The journal relies on COPE guidelines to address cases of research misconduct.

In the event of proven or reported unethical practice, the editor-in-chief carefully examines the case, reviews the evidence, and then contacts the author, allowing them the opportunity to respond.

After completing the procedures, the journal has the right to:

* Amend the research or withdraw it permanently.

* Impose a temporary or permanent ban on the offending author.

* Notify relevant journals or entities when necessary, if the research has been published elsewhere.
